Deviation Actions
Finding it hard to evenly divide my time between my activities. When I first started with Daz Studio, Age of Conan activity took somewhat of a nosedive. Now Age of Conan is getting back to #1 on my priority list and Daz Studio goes down the ladder.
Of course, partially I can blame the fact that I bought Daz Studio 3 Advanced. Which reset my content database from 'neatly organised' to 'heaping stack of over 40k objects'. Probably a day or two of sorting. But I'm so NOT looking forward to that.
Maybe over the course of next weekend if my date cancels (which I am expecting to happen).

Next steps
Allright, so I wanna move on with this all this nifty coolness. The next logical step seems to be "getting a tablet". In theory it would vastly improve my capacity to edit and postwork pictures in detail. Up until now I've done mostly full-image edits and filterings, daring only little things in detail (such as Azuan's right arm wound to cover up a clipping error ;)).
Anyone got any advice on a nice yet affordable tablet? Does it matter at all? Or will 'any' tablet do?
I wouldn't, but I did anyway...
When I first set out to render stuff from Age of Conan, I promised myself I wouldn't go for a lot of nudie sex stuff but instead focus on more action-oriented scenes. As one can clearly observe, I did not manage to uphold it.
I can assure you that mostly everything I render involves either a backstory, a fan-story, or an actual ingame event. Problem there is that I've been doing the cuddly hand-holding roleplaying thing too much and not enough violent roleplay. I still have a few sexual-themed renders I want to do, but I've decided to hold them off for now, instead focusing on action oriented scenes. This will be my priority list, top to bot
Postwork and Effects
Allright, the snow thing was easy. Use a snow brush, directionally blur it to create an actual 'falling' effect, layer the render over itself with a slight 'artistic' effect and high opacity and voila.
However, other effects will be a lot tougher. I'm currently working on a jungle-scene in high sunlight (as far as such a forest would allow sunlight to penetrate). Hence; Godrays. Now the rendered godrays I have in Daz Studio are way too solid. It's pretty obvious they're just objects instead of nifty effects.
So I need a different solution. I've played around with the lighting in GIMP but those don't really work well either. I want the final
